Market Partnership: A Virtual Joint Venture.
Another benefit RiceCo International offers when working with industry partners is its ability to manage the process of registering a product in a new market. One of the company’s core strengths is the ability to register products around the world – no small feat, considering that regulatory systems and requirements can vary widely from country to country. RiceCo’s ability to navigate complex regulatory protocols makes things easier for its supply chain partners, allowing them to focus on what they do best.
When RiceCo enters a market, we work with a local partner to get a product registered. The data generated during product development can also be used for regulatory support, so there’s a dual benefit. This process allows distributors to become knowledgeable and have a stake in the success of providing RiceCo products to their customers.
Under such an arrangement, RiceCo International retains ownership of the data and the product label. In return, the distributor receives a distribution agreement creating what our company views as a “virtual joint venture."
The Future of RiceCo
In the next 3 to 10 years, RiceCo plans to be very active in the global market. RiceCo will be looking at new ways to serve the rice industry with new technologies and product offerings. It will be open to looking at various partners around the world to work with RiceCo and continue in its development.
RiceCo will also be looking for joint venture partners to gain access to seed technology. Again, distribution will be key as they look to partner with reputable, progressive companies in direct-seeded rice growing regions of the world.
